Cosmetic ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, is a procedure designed to reduce the size of large ears or in a loop that protrude too far from the head. Commonly known as “ear pinning surgery”, this procedure can greatly improve appearance and self-esteem of a person.

There are different types of surgery for the correction of the ears and, as the procedureis carried out, the average time it takes to do an otoplasty is one to two hours. Thepatient is anesthetized while remodeling the cartilage of the ear and remove any excessskin.

The ear surgery patients experience very few side effects after surgery. The recovery ofear surgery can take up to six weeks, however, adult patients can usually resume their routine activities a few days after the procedure.
